Happie's 88th Birthday

Today is Happie's 88th Birthday. She took the train down from Seattle this weekend and on Sunday I threw her a little birthday brunch. My lovely friends (and neighbors) Kate Power and Steve Einhorn blessed us with some beautiful music. It was a very sweet gathering.

It was a wonderful celebration of a wonderful woman. You can take an A on being such a kind and loyal granddaughter, friend, neighbor, etc!

    Happy birthday, Happie!

Beautiful pictures! Is her name really Happie? I've been wanting to change my name to that for years!

Her name is really Happie. Her grandmother's name was Harriet, called Hattie, and then there was this typo...

The wonders of the web. You don't know me, but my mother, Dorothy Weisman Gross, was a friend of Happie's YEARS ago: they worked together, (she was Happie Byers then) and I even spent a weekend with her and Paul (then-husband) in VT. I was surfing around and somehow remembered Happie remarried a long time ago. I googled her,and here I am! My mother died at 56 in 1985. So maybe you could tell Happie I found her again? I'm Judy Weisman. Living in Maine now, am a surgeon, have 2 sons. jweis@tidewater.net
