More girlies and a daddy

Admit it, you miss the cute kid pictures, you haven't seen a new post of them in literally weeks.... OK, OK. Here are some more. :) And just to change things up, there are some cute daddy pictures included here, too.

First we have some from today of Willa and River. River is missing her momma this week, so we're making extra sure she has a good time. I think it's going OK so far.

When Brandan came home, he and Willa played us the Baby Beluga song. And Willa took this stunning portrait of him.

The last ones are from a few weeks ago when Willa came with me to pick up Amelia and Josie at their school, and then we went to OMSI.

The Sound of Blackbirds

My friend Ellen Stanley (from Red House Records) and her friend Matt Winters have asked me to join them for a brand new music blog. We're just getting started, but I posted something there today that I had originally intended to post here. Would have been the first post not made up mostly of pictures, but alas, that was not to be here.

The title of the new blog is from a lyric written by Ms. Tracy Grammer, from her song The Verdant Mile.

So head on over and check it out. Leave us a comment! We need plenty of encouragement!

In the desert

Picture of the week... Makaylah in the desert at Siwa (Egypt):

The Siwa Oasis or Siwah (Wãḥat Sĩwa in Arabic: واحة سيوة) is an oasis in Egypt, located between the Qattara Depression and the Egyptian Sand Sea in the Libyan Desert, just east of the Libyan border, and about 350 miles from Cairo.

And next time I go to Egypt, I want to go sand-surfing! This is Jonah's friend Alex and his sister Julie, last week.

Pictures by Jonah Moos. You don't mind that I steal them and put them here, do you? Obviously I'm too lazy to come up with my own content here.

Chrismas Part 2, late

I meant to post a few pictures of my friend Amelia on Christmas Eve.

~ ~ ~

Happy Happy New Year!! Happie and I toasted and watched fireworks all along the horizon from her window overlooking Lake Washington. If only I didn't have such a bad cold...

More from Seattle soon.
